RSC16: July Watermelon (hot pink with lime green accents)

I've gathered my pinks and made another RSC16 block...

Angela was thinking watermelon pink, but I couldn't help but think back on the flamingos I saw last week at San Diego zoo!

But in the end, it was just the fabric that I had in my pink pile that were used to create the block.  I didn't add the lime green, but did sort of keep the watermelon shape in the center part!

I went thru my phone and found these photos featuring variations of pink too!

  2. That is quite a collection of photographs you have there. I especially love the antique glassware. I think my father still owns two glasses from his grandmother that were made from glass in that exact colour. =)

    1. Thank you for coming by and leaving a note. The glasses were from our cousin's collection. I mentioned that our DIL was collecting pink depression glass and she just pulled it out to show me so I took the photo. It's nice to have a few pieces, especially that have been in your family for a long time. : )

    2. I have been having discussions with friends on how hard it is to decide what to keep and what to give away. In traveling and visiting museums I see that even at that level they have difficulty making those decisions. But still, nice to have at least a few things from family.

    2. I agree with Heidi. It is actually very nice to see your inspiration pictures or seeing those that you might have snapped at some time or other becoming relevant in context of a project. =)
