I find it difficult to...Your quilting looks great. I find it difficult to have a consistent distance too, but then I have a hard time piecing a quarter inch seam too! For quilting, I generally make organic lines, so they are expected to waver a bit now and then. If you do it on purpose, it isn't a mistake!
